i think it sits
in a dark corner
of the office,
a lone grey shadow
quietly shifting,
perhaps it was the lights
perhaps i have watched
one too many
japanese horror movies,
they have the effect
of making you afraid
of
bathrooms
mirrors
baseball bats
and i can't wait
to walk off
into the warm night.

I love that you never name "it" but instead let us wonder. I remember the first time I saw Jurasic Park..I was afraid to walk back to the parking lot!

well, actually the first word that came to mind for the title was "it". :)
the symbol "^" i used was used by some Japanese engineers in their coding sheets when i was working in a telco. it was used to represent some blank space to accommodate some future data.
Jurassic Park was suspenseful, but japanese horror shows scare me majorly. :)
