It was a drag to go to work this morning...
battle
6 a.m. the alarm clock
buzzed with the urgency
of an air-raid siren.
outside the windows
a storm was blasting pellets
at the panes.
and inside me
sleep dragged me back
into the trenches.

I know this feeling. It's a real struggle to get out of bed, especially on a monday morning, especially when it's raining like that.
yeah, it was a big struggle just to get out of bed. i wished i was on the late shift. :(
