NaPoWriMo 2012 - Conclusion

It has been a hectic and crazy April. Work-wise, it was a killer at times, and then there was NaPoWriMo 2012. 30 poems in 30 days, a poem a day. As if that's not enough, a bout of flu than floored me for a few days.

Still, I managed to write 28 poems, a good output considering the circumstances. For this I have to thank my fellow writers/participants who gave me the encouragement to soldier on.

In my opinion, I have written more gems than duds this year, and some I really liked.

And my personal ten favourites from this year's collection, in no particular order :

day 5 : the lights of the city

day 6 : starship

day 11 : she sang of seagulls

day 12 : tampines leisure park, 7 a.m.

day 13 : playground

day 14 : siege

day 20 : the old gangster

day 21 : how deep is

day 29 : for a friend

day 30 : over the rooftops

Or, if you want, read the whole lot here.

Till we meet again next year. :)

it's a hard time selecting the "top ten". and if i had to choose the best one, it has to be "how deep is". i just spent at most 10, 15 minutes on it,but gave me the most satisfaction.

28 is wonderful...you did very well!!! I have lots to edit over the coming months. They should have a month for that : )

i think 28 is a good output too. i am thinking of editing some too, but am feeling a bit lazy at the moment.

i would love to read your edited versions, but sometimes the first drafts are the best. :)
