not good enough #10

This was submitted to a picture prompt at an online journal. The picture shows a deserted pier in the sunset with a large flock of birds flying away. No, not to this accompanying photo, but pretty close.
It wasn't chosen. 😞

shiki kukai - sleeping late

The theme for the April 2015 Free Format section of the monthly kukai at haikuworld was 'Sleeping Late'. It turned out to be a bit more difficult than expected. Wrote many drafts, threw most away.

I didn't expect my entry to score any points, but it turned out not bad. It weighed in with 7 votes. :)

shiki kukai - goodbye

The theme for the Free Format section of the August shiki kukai was "Goodbye(s)/Parting Words". Sounds like an easy topic, isn't it?

I thought so too, and send in a monostich. It managed 4 votes. :(

Shiki Kukai - wind

The theme for the Free Format section of the January Shiki Kukai at haikuworld was "wind."

There were too many good entries on this edition. And with such a good field, it's not really disappointing my entry only picked up 2 points. Maybe it was just too, cliched.

Shiki Kukai : vegetables

The theme for the July kukai at haikuworld was "vegetable(s)". Seriously, it was not easy to write (or I was just not trying). Anyway, when I was satisfied with one, it was too late to submit. I wonder how it will fare if it was sent in.
